Parable of the Good Samaritan

Scripture: Luke 10:25-37, Romans 10:8-10, I Cor 13:8-13

I. What shall I do to inherit eternal life?

II. What is written in the Law?
1. Love the Lord with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength and all your mind.
2. Love your neighbor as yourself.

III. Who is my neighbor?
1. The priest?
2. The Levite?
3. The Samaritan?

IV. Characteristics of the good Samaritan.
1. Responded spontaneously.
2. Had compassion and showed mercy.
3. Bandaged up the wounds.
4. Poured oil and wine.
5. Carried the victim.
6. Brought the victim to an inn.
7. Took care of his present and future needs.
8. Showed no partiality.
