Check-out

Check Out: We will need to have all of our luggage out of the housing by 8:30 am on Tuesday 12/31. We need to be out of the meeting room and off of the campgrounds no later than 2:00 pm.

Please make sure to turn in the keys to either the kitchen staff or the office before you leave. (We will confirm how to return the keys during the camp.)

We ask that you leave your sleeping rooms, bathrooms and meeting rooms as neat as you found them by picking up any trash on the floor and grounds and throwing away in the trash cans provided before you leave. Leaders and/or counselors please walk through the rooms and double check for any forgotten or remaining items and any obvious trash left out. The camp can keep lost and found items for 2 weeks and then they will be discarded. Individual campers are responsible for picking up their lost and found items from the camp office. OGCCC can not be responsible for mailing lost and found items.

If you like, you may use this link to fill out the Guest Evaluation form before you leave or soon afterwards.

Activities

Gym: There is open use of the gym every morning and evening, but the exclusive gym time for our group is on Monday 12/30 from 2:30 to 3:30 in the afternoon.

The gym is equipped with volleyball and basketball courts, foosball and ping pong tables. There are also soccer balls, playground balls, corn hole and frisbees for your use. Feel free to use this space for group games, but please do not put any kind of tape on the floor or play games involving any kind of food. The gym is not designed for kicking games as the balls can break or damage lights and windows. Please play all games involving kicking at the Sports Field.

Archery: The archery will take place on Monday 12/30 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. The recommended age for archery is 9 years old and up. All participants must arrive at the beginning of their session to hear the safety instructions. If anyone is late and misses the instructions, he/she will not be allowed to shoot. If no one shows up for your session within 15 minutes for the start time, the instructor will close the range until the beginning of the next reserved session.

At check-in, you will be given a sign-up sheet for every session reserved. The adult in charge of each session must bring the sign-up sheet to our instructor at the start of the session. Archery instruction will not take place without both the sign-up sheet and a responsible adult.

Sports Field: The Sports Field is a large grassy area on the hill behind the gym. The field is a great space for group games. This area is not reservable and we request that our groups be considerate of one another and share the use of the field.

There are frisbees, dodge balls and soccer goals available for check-out in the office at no charge for use on the field. There is also an outdoor basketball court, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit and gaga ball ring on the perimeter of the field. The Sports Field is also the area where we encourage your group to enjoy water/ snow play instead of in the main area of the camp. Water balloons may be used on the field with permission, but all balloon pieces must be cleaned up afterwards. No games involving food on the field or in any building.

Please make sure to pick up any trash or debris from games before you leave the field. Please do not drive any vehicles onto the field as it damages the irrigation system.

Fire Circle : The Garden fire circles available for our exclusive use on Monday 12/30 in the evening from 9:30 to 11pm. If you would like to roast marshmallows, we would ask that you use only metal skewers to decrease the fire hazard. Availability of the fire pit is subject to weather, including extreme heat and wind, as well as the fire danger level. If conditions are deemed unsafe we will have to cancel the use of the fire circle.
Hiking: We will go hiking outside of the camp on Monday 12/31 in the afternoon during our free time. Details to be announced during the camp. Please register with Peter.
Other activities: Please come to the office to check out miniature golf equipment, horseshoes, gaga balls, and board games at no additional charge.

Please note that OGCCC merchandise will be available for sale in the office whenever the office is open.  All sales are cash or check only.

General Rules

Signs If we plan to hang any signs, please use ONLY blue or green painters’ tape so the walls and doors are not damaged. Please do not use scotch tape, masking tape, tacks or push pins. Also, please remove all signs prior to leaving our grounds. If you put signs out for your group near the entrance, please make sure that they do not block any of our signage so that emergency personnel can see our signs in the event of an emergency.
Snacks The Camp does not allow any outside food at the camp other than single-serving, prepackaged snacks. This prohibition includes any fast food, pizza, food prepared at home and big bags of snack foods. Please do not bring crock-pots, hot plates, coffee pots, etc. This policy helps us comply with health department regulations as well as cuts down on the attraction to bears and other wildlife.

If your group would like to have noodles, we have a hot water dispenser in the Snack Bar for your use. Please dispose of the leftovers in the containers provided by the trash cans.

Only water should be brought into the meeting rooms. A $250.00 fee could be charged to your group if food and/or drink are not handled properly and are spilled on the carpet in the meeting rooms or other buildings.

Water The camp encourages attendants to bring refillable water bottles. Their water comes from a spring under the mountain and is quite good. We can fill our bottles from any faucet, water fountain or the automatic bottle dispensers in the gym hallway.
Meal Meals are served promptly at 8:00am, noon and 5:30pm. It is important to come to the dining hall by the time the bell is rung the second time. Meals can not be held for latecomers.
Furniture Please do not move any beds, mattresses, or other furniture either within the housing or to other areas of the camp. In addition, please keep all benches, picnic tables, patio tables and chairs, etc where they have been placed by our staff.
Electric Car Charging Please no electric car charging anywhere on the camp property without permission from the office. Charging fees may apply.
Noise Keep noise down to a moderate level at all times to respect the other groups and our neighbors. We respectfully request no secular music on the property. All activities after 11:00 p.m. must be at a moderate level with no amplification. To allow all of our guests and staff to get a good night’s sleep, please no outside activities after 11pm. All minors should be in their housing between 11pm and 7am.
Fireworks / Firearms NO FIREWORKS or firearms are allowed on the property! If fireworks are set off or found, we will notify the police since this is a high risk for fires and injury.
Smoking, Alcohol, Drugs No Smoking or e-cigs. Alcohol and drugs are prohibited.
Pets Pets, other than certified service animals, are not allowed on camp property. Please do not bring pets to camp for the safety of the animal as well as the other guests.
