Scriptures: John 16:16-33
Intro: The Holy Spirit shall come to continue the ministry of Jesus

1. The questioning disciples (vv. 16-19)
2. The completion of the earthly mission of Jesus (vv. 20-28)
– The disciples’ sorrow will turn to joy
– Ask in the name of Jesus to receive and rejoice
– The Father hears the prayers of the disciples
3. The presumption of the disciples (vv. 29-32)
4. The comforting last words of the suffering Jesus (v. 33)
