The Good News of the Gospel
Scriptures: 1 Cor 15:1- 11
I. We should constantly be reminded of the Gospel preached to us.

1. We welcomed it and still stand firm in it. (v1)
2. It is this Good News that saves you – if you continue to believe. (v2)
II. Important essence of the Gospel (according to the Scriptures):
-
1. Christ died for our sins. (v3)
2. He was buried. (v4)
3. He was raised from the dead on the third day. (v5)
4. He was seen by Peter, the Twelve, 500 followers at one time, James and later by all the apostles. (vv5-7)
III. Paul, himself saw Jesus. (v8,9)
-
1. As though I had been born the wrong time – new birth. (v8)
2. He considers himself as the least of the apostle-humility. (v9)
3. He sees himself unworthy as he persecuted the church. (v9)
4. Paul testifies of God special favor on him with results- he was co-working with God. (v10-11)
5. It is always God’s grace working through us. (v10)
