Story of a House
Bible Passages: Luke 11:21-22, 1 Corinthians 6:19,John 14:2, Job 1:12, Ephesians 5:11-13
I. Introduction: A house is used as an analogy to the nature of a human being.
II. First story is the most occupied with 6 rooms – body – touches the world
1. Kitchen Drinking saloon
2. Pharmacy room.
3. Recreation/amusement room
4. Sleeping room.
5. Room which is generally closed and
III. Second story- mind or soul which you think and resolve
1. Room of archives – there sits a scribe always at work recording the past.
2. Library/thought room
3. Imagination room
4. Room of friendship and love
5. Bullion room
IV. Third Story – not often used – the spirit which in too many is utterly neglected and given over to vacancy.
1. One side is the hall of judgment
2. Center room – throne room which is meant for God
3. Hall of conscience surrounded by mirrors and glasses
4. Room of hope, which looks over a river to a city far away
5. A chapel, a place prepared for worship, for high and holy service.
IV. Conclusion: Third story rooms are the keys to our being efficient and strong believers allowing God to take control of our lives thereby effecting our others faculties as depicted in the rooms on the second and first floors.
