Mary’s Reaction to God’s Calling

Scriptures: Luke 1:26-56

I.           Introduction

II.         Submissive to the word of God. (Luke 1:38, 45) – Fulfillment to those who believe.

III.      Soul magnifies the Lord. (Luke 1:46)

IV.       Spirit rejoices in God our Savior.

V.          Acknowledgement by declarations:

1.  Our lowly state – humbleness.

2.  He who is mighty has done great things for me

3.  His mercy is on those who fear Him and shown strength with His arm.

4.  He exalts the lowly.

5.  He fills the hungry with good things.

6.  Holy is His name.

7.  He helps Israel, His servant remembers His mercy.

8.  He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

a.   Put down the mighty from their thrones.

b.  Sends away the rich, empty.

VI.       God speaks to our fathers, to Abraham and his seeds forever from generations to generations.
