Behold the Man in Glory

Scripture: Luke 9:27-36

Intro:
A pivotal vision in a pivotal moment —
Jesus, the Man in glory: the essence of the kingdom of God

Main points:

1. The Man in whom is the fullness of the Deity (Col 2:9)

2. The Man who is the Sum of the Law and Prophets (Lk 24:44)

3. The Man who alone is the reason and purpose of the kingdom of God

Conclusion:

1. God’s way to glory is through the cross (Lk 9:22)

2. The vision of the Man in glory is our hope and joy (2 Pet 1:16-18, Heb 12:2-3)
