A Living Hope and a Sure Salvation

Scriptures: 1 Peter 1:1-9, 2 Pet 3:7-9, Rev 21

I. Foreknowledge of God the Father:

1. Caused us to be born again to living hope – resurrection of Jesus Christ.
2. To obtain inheritance – imperishable, undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven.
3. Protected by the power of God – through faith.

II. Obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling with His blood

1. Protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

III. Sanctifying Work of the Spirit

1. Rejoice in trial through faith – more precious than gold.
2. Tested by fire – praise, glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
3. To love and believe Him – Joy inexpressible
4. Full of glory – outcome of your faith and salvation of your souls.
