A Gift

Scripture: Matthew 1:20-23 – But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

Introduction: Jesus was not born on the Christmas Day. However, what is relevant is not the date, but the essence and significance of His birth.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. Baptismal Meeting & Year-End Combined Sharing Meeting: We will have baptismal meeting and combined sharing meeting coming Saturday (12/31/2022) with baptismal meeting starting at 9AM followed by love-feast at 11AM and sharing meeting at 12PM.

3. Winter Camp: Winter Camp is Friday 1/6 to Sunday 1/8. Registration is open, please register today.
4. In-Person Meeting: Welcome back! English group, Chinese group and children Sunday School is back to in person meetings starting 12/4. Our meeting schedule has changed, Sunday morning starts 10:00AM with Breaking of Bread followed by worship and message at 11:00AM. Please refer to the schedule for details.
5. Prayer Meeting: Prayer Meetings are Tuesdays from 8:00 to 9:15PM, joining via Webex for the combined session of the meeting (Meeting number: 6 2 7 5 6 4 2 7 4 Password: 4 0 0 0). We are using Zoom for the English group session, please reach out to Richer for login information.
6. Bible Reading Plan: For 2023 Bible-in-a-year reading, we will follow “BibleProject | One Story that Leads to Jesus” plan and will read through the Bible in a year. With a reading plan, we can keep one another accountable in our Bible reading. For more details or to join the plan, click here.
