Our Spiritual Battle

Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 10:1-5, Phil 2:1-3, Matt 16:23, Eph 6:10-18, Rev 17:14

I. Introduction:
1. False teachers had since infiltrated the Christian community.
2. It is a battle of the mind, Ideas, what we think. OUR WORLD VIEW
3. It is a battle for the Truth
4. It is a battle wages with divine power.

II. Our foundation – (2 Cor 10:1)
1. Humility of Christ (Phi 2:1-3)
2. Gentleness of Christ (Phi 4:5, Col 3:12)

III. Our Warfare – Spiritual (2 Cor 10:2,3)
1. No against flesh and blood- success in not measured by numbers, money or outward growth (Eph 6:12)
2. Against the rulers, authorities and power of this dark world (Eph 6:12)
3. Against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Eph 6:12)

IV. Our Weapons – (2 Cor 10:4, Eph 6:10-18)
1. Belt of truth buckled around your waist (Eph 6:14)
2. Breastplate of righteousness in place (Eph 6:14)
3. Your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace (Eph 6:15)
4. Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one (Eph 6:16)
5. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Eph 6:17)
6. Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests (Eph 6:18)

V. Our Warriors – Successful (2 Cor 10:5, Rev 17:14) – Triumphant Christ
