My Majestic Meaningful Merciful Maker
Scriptures: Hebrews 1:1-5
1) Majestic: the Incomparable Comparison
a) We often compare ourselves to others.
b) There is no comparison to Jesus’ power and character.
c) Jesus in His divine glory provides us the ending of our story as believers.
2) Meaningful: the Final Word
a) God has spoken to us throughout the Bible
b) God has spoken to us through His Son
c) God is still speaking to us
3) Merciful: the Humble Redeemer
a) Jesus in His humble incarnation shows His pursuit of us.
b) God sees you.
c) What is your proper response?
GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS (OR QUESTIONS FOR PERSONAL REFLECTION):
1. Comparisons:
a) Who do tend to compare yourself to in this world? Is it someone in your profession? At the local church? One of your parents or siblings? A famous musician or athlete?
b) What does Hebrews 1:1-5 say about Jesus’ character and power? How do others compare to Him?
c) How should knowing how powerful Jesus is change our attitude? Our choices?
2. Speaking and Hearing:
a) What does Hebrews 1:-1-5 tell us about how God has spoken to us in the past?
b) What does Hebrews 1:-1-5 tell us about how God speaks to us through Jesus?
c) Do you think people in the world today expect to hear from God? If so, how do you they expect him to speak?
d) Do you expect God to speak to you? If so, how?
3. Knowing that Jesus is all-powerful, what does that say about His decision to suffer and die for you? How does that affect how you see yourself? What should you do in response?

- West Coast Christian Conference (WCCC) 2024: In lieu of having our summer conference, this year we encourage brothers and sisters to attend West Coast Christian Conference 2024 together. - In-Person Meeting: Welcome back! English group, Chinese group and children Sunday School is back to in person meetings. Our meeting schedule has changed, Sunday morning starts 9:15AM with Breaking of Bread followed by worship and message at 10:00AM. Please refer to the schedule for details.
- Prayer Meeting: Prayer Meetings are Tuesdays from 8:00 to 9:15PM, joining via Webex for the combined session of the meeting (Meeting number: 6 2 7 5 6 4 2 7 4 Password: 4 0 0 0). We are using Zoom for the English group session, please reach out to Richer for login information.
- Bible Reading Plan: For 2024 Bible-in-a-year reading, we will follow “More Jesus Reading Plan 365” and will read through the Bible in a year. With a reading plan, we can keep one another accountable in our Bible reading. For more details or to join the plan, click here.
