Taking Refuge Under The Wings of God
Scriptures: Ruth 2:11-23
A. God Repay His People for Their Good Deeds.
1. What are the good deeds of Ruth?
(a) Ruth demonstrates selfless sacrificial love and faithfulness toward her M-I-L. (Ruth 1:16-17).
(b) Ruth is humble and respectful. (Ruth 2:3, 7b)
(c) Ruth is a diligent and hard-working person. (Ruth 2:7c)
(d) Ruth is a strong and courageous person who takes initiative. (Ruth 2:2)
2. God Uses people around us to repay our good deeds. (Ruth 2:12a)
B. God Reward Those Who Take Refuge Under His Wings
1. The meaning of finding refuge under the wings of God. (Ps. 91:4)
2. Naomi comes back to hide under the wings of God. (Ruth 2:19-20)
3. Ruth finds refuge under the wings of God. (Ruth 1:16-17)

Questions & Discussions:
1. Have you ever been in a situation that looked like a coincidence or “happened to be” circumstance but actually turned out to be a part of God’s plan or under God’s orchestration? Would you like to share and explain how you finally realized it did not happen coincidentally?
2. Does the Bible really tell us that God rewards His people for their good deeds? How is that different from most of the other religions that teach people to do good deeds in order to earn good rewards from their gods? Do God also reward non-believers for their good deeds?
3. What would be your answer if Ruth had asked you the same question “Why have I found favor in your eyes?”
- West Coast Christian Conference (WCCC) 2024: In lieu of having our summer conference, this year we encourage brothers and sisters to attend West Coast Christian Conference 2024 together. It will take place from 7/24 to 7/28 (Wednesday to Sunday) at Biola University. The registration window for WCCC 2024 is from 4/15/24 to 5/15/24, or until capacity is reached. Registrations can be completed at the conference website https://www.
westcoastchristianconference. com/2024/registration.php. The capacity usually fills up in about two weeks so please register early. If you attended WCCC in the past, you may use your security code when registering on their website. However, if you have never attended WCCC or need a new security code, please get in touch with Richer Shaw, Alan Ngo or Caleb. We will obtain one for you. You can find out more about the conference by visiting West Coast Christian Conference 2024. - In-Person Meeting: Welcome back! English group, Chinese group and children Sunday School is back to in person meetings. Our meeting schedule has changed, Sunday morning starts 9:15AM with Breaking of Bread followed by worship and message at 10:00AM. Please refer to the schedule for details.
