We Are His Workmanship

Scriptures: Ephesians 2:1-10, Ephesians 3:14-21

I.            We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works – God prepared before hand – that we should walk in them. (Eph 2:10)

1.   We were spiritually death:

a.   Following the course of this world

b.   Following the prince of the power of the air

c.    Spirit now at work in the sons of disobedience

d.   Live in the passions of our flesh – carrying out the desires of the body and the mind.

e.   Children of wrath like the rest of mankind.

2.   God being rich in mercy- great love with which he loved us-made us alive together with Christ – even when we were dead in our trespasses.

a.   Made us alive

b.   Raised us up with Him

c.    Seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

d.   He might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in the coming age in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

e.   We have been saved through faith by God’s grace – not our doing but the gift of God. Not the result of work.

II.          Prayer for Spiritual Strength (Experienced the fullness of God) (Importance of Spiritual Knowledge)

1.   I bow my knees before the Father (3:14-15)

a.   The power of bent knees

b.   Our access to the Father – with respect and submission

c.    Lordship test – surrender life – our acceptance by our Father who will stop to listen when we pray.

d.   Church needs prayer with power – take advantage of the power.

2.   He may grant you to be strengthen with power through His Spirit in your inner being – strength of the Holy Spirit in you. (3:16)

a.   Strength of the Holy Spirit in you.

b.   Indwelling of the Holy Spirit in you.

c.    John Philips – Use His deity to end human sufferings.

3.   Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith – we, being rooted and grounded in love. (3:17)

a.   The same Jesus still lives in your heart.

b.   We can’t immitted the life of Christ.

c.     Present your death body to receive power at the foot of the cross.

d.   Allow Christ to dwell in our life – inhabited the house. Jesus is welcome in our house. Jesus goes to our house from room to room. Clean our life from room to room.

e.   I want Jesus to feel at home in my house.

f.     You may be rooted and grounded in love – I want Christ to saturated my heart. Grounded to the Building foundation.

g.     Rev 2 – I want you to be rooted and grounded in love.

h.   How long is God’s love.

4.   You may have strength to comprehend with all the saints the breadth and length and height and depth.

5.   To know the love of Christ the surpass knowledge, may be filled with the fullness of God – when you eat from God’s table, you will be satisfy with other table.

We are grateful to the Lord that our brothers have secured permission from Dr. Howard Chen’s Orthodontics clinic for the use of his parking lot at 318 N Garfield Ave., which is conveniently located on the same side as our church and adjacent to Dim Sum Express. Please click here for reference. The lot offers 30 parking spaces, and we encourage all congregants to fully utilize these spaces. Please ensure that you park within the designated lines, lock your doors and windows, refrain from leaving valuables in your vehicles, and maintain cleanliness in the parking area. This arrangement is available every Sunday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
  3. In-Person Meetings: Welcome back! English group, Chinese group and children Sunday School is back to in person meetings. Our meeting schedule has changed, Sunday morning starts 9:15AM with Breaking of Bread followed by worship and message at 10:00AM. Please refer to the schedule for details.
  4. Prayer Meeting: Prayer Meetings are Tuesdays from 8:00 to 9:15PM, joining via Webex for the combined session of the meeting (Meeting number: 6 2 7 5 6 4 2 7 4 Password: 4 0 0 0). We are using Zoom for the English group session, please reach out to Richer for login information.
